An Ongoing Partnership

Angie first contacted me in 2016 to create a straightforward campaign website supporting her work in Mercer County. That initial WordPress site introduced her platform to local voters and marked the beginning of a long-term working relationship.

Over the years, the website and its purpose have evolved alongside her public service.

Campaigning for the Ohio House

In 2022, Angie announced her campaign for Ohio’s 84th House District and needed a website capable of reaching voters across a larger geographic area.

We collaborated on the domain name, visual direction, content structure, and overall user experience. Because this was a more competitive and geographically diverse race, the site needed to do more than introduce the candidate. It also needed to serve as a practical election resource.

The campaign website prominently featured:

• Voter-registration deadlines
• District-identification resources
• Early-voting dates and locations
• Election Day information
• Opportunities to volunteer, subscribe, and contribute

The goal was to make essential campaign and voting information easy to find on any device while giving the campaign a reliable platform that could be updated quickly.

Angie won the election in 2022 and began serving her second term in the Ohio House of Representatives in 2025.

Evolving Beyond the Campaign

Following the election, we transitioned the site from an election-focused campaign platform into a streamlined biography and engagement website.

The current version introduces Angie’s background, public-service experience, district, and priorities while providing clear opportunities for visitors to subscribe to campaign updates, volunteer, or contribute.

The site is built with Astro and Bootstrap, with automated deployment through GitHub Actions. Its lightweight architecture supports strong performance, responsive behavior, technical SEO, and ongoing content updates.
